  • Accessible mode of payment

AceVPN offers two different plans that you can avail of. It has:

  • Premium VPN plan: $3.89 monthly
  • Ultimate VPN plan: $11.67 monthly

Both plans come with DNS unlock TV service at no cost. However, your devices cannot be logged simultaneously. Also, unlike other VPN providers that offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, AceVPN only has a 7-day money-back guarantee and has no trial period.

Basically, its ultimate VPN plan covers everything that the premium VPN plan has. So, for you to get maximum experience, it is wise to purchase their ultimate plan. It covers unlimited bandwidth on a fast gigabit network, seamless security, and anonymity online, torrenting and P2P,  free smart DNS for video streaming, free remote installation, and includes more servers compared to its premium plan.

Moreover, payment options are restricted to PayPal, mailed payment, credit card, checks drawn to USA bank account, or Bitcoin. Plus, they charge a $1 processing fee for all refunds made.

Ease of Use

When installing AceVPN to your device, you might want to follow these guides:

1. Download AceVPN

2. Select "yes" when a pop-up message shows after you click the downloaded file.

3. Select "yes" to agree to its license agreement through a Set-up Wizard.

4. Click "install"

5. Open the program by clicking the OpenVPN icon on your desktop

6. Right-click on the OpenVPN icon and choose a server you wish to connect with.

They also a remote installation with its Ultimate Plan. However, it can be more complicated for less-techy users since it doesn't offer a one-click installation. You have to follow clearly and properly all their installation guides. And unlike other VPN providers, AceVPN will allow you to choose your own server regardless of the distance and data, which is a compromised thing for their system to be easily hacked. Also, it can be quite a hassle for you but it can be sorted out within a few minutes.

Server Locations

AceVPN has multiple Gigabit servers worldwide with 50+ server locations in more than 26 countries. It has a smaller number of servers compared to other VPN providers that have thousands of it. But more than that, AceVPN allows unlimited switching of servers according to your needs.

Its servers are usually located in North America (California, Georgia, Florida, New York, Illinois, Nevada, etc.) and Europe (Uk, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Ireland, Norway, etc). It also has servers in Asia (Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea), Canada (Montreal), Oceania (Australia), South America (Brazil), Africa (South Africa), Middle East (Egypt), and Mexico (Mexico City). Take note that their Premium Plan only allows servers from the USA, France, and the United Kingdom.

Though its server locations are smaller in numbers, it can still feature the geographical location since it is available in every continent. It means that subscribing to their Ultimate Plan will let you cover a VPN connection closer to you no matter what region you are in.

As we have mentioned, AceVPN is owned by an American Company called SecureNet LLC. This means that AceVPN's service is subject to the anti-privacy laws of the United States that strictly implement the storing of data or information from every user.

Moreover, the United States is a member of the 5 Eyes Surveillance Alliance, which is at work with countries like Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand. These countries have a law that clearly demands the information to be legally shared with the government. It also means that AceVPN is under the jurisdiction of the FBI and NSA, which are very strict in implementing the sharing and collecting of data.

Privacy and Security

The customer's anonymity is one of the reasons why they subscribe to a VPN service. AceVPN offers military-grade encryption, which is a 256-bit AES standard. However, your privacy gets compromised since they will require you to input your phone number, home address, and name. Most VPN providers only require your email address when signing up.

AceVPN is also using IKEv2 IPSEC servers with a 384-bit Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm to secure your program. This is also used by governments to secure confidential information.

It also offers OpenVPN protocol to make sure your connection won't be lost, which is also used by the top VPN providers worldwide. AceVPN also gives you several protocols for your choice. You can choose from Smart DNS, PPTP, L2TP, and UDP that can be used both with Windows and macOS.

They also have a "no-log policy", which is essential to keep your anonymity in whatever server you're connected to prevent malware and cybercriminals from hacking you. They also check their servers both outside and inside of the network keeping any hackers away from its system. Moreover, AceVPN ensures that it will not sell, give away, or rent its user's data or information to anyone without the user's consent. In fact, they consistently publish a quarterly transparency report on the governmental request to disclose information from their customers. So far, none of it happened yet.

The Kill Switch feature is also available in AceVPN, which can give you other security measures. The Kill Switch feature will allow you to automatically disconnect you from the internet if the VPN service is experiencing any trouble. It means it cannot expose your IP address and online traffic if the server gets into trouble.

Torrenting and P2P

Torrenting and P2P features are one of the top features that every customer looks into. This is because most of the streaming sites are restricted in some countries due to its broadcasting regulations and the only way to get into that is through changing your device's IP address.

With AceVPN, only their Ultimate VPN Plan offers this feature. It means that it will allow you to stream and unblock geo-restricted sites like Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon iPlayer, and more. However, there are streaming sites that have a strong VPN detection which can result in blocking you from using their content libraries. One of which is Netflix. That is why it is important to get a strong VPN that can bypass Netflix’s firewall and can give you excellent service while streaming.

In a lot of reviews, AceVPN still needs a lot of effort into this since not all of their servers are strong enough to bypass the geo-restricted sites, especially Netflix. You have to do trial and error by trying to connect several servers and see if it works really well. But you need not worry more since it has high-performance low latency bandwidth that is great for surfing, downloading, and streaming.

Also, if you are into P2P file sharing and torrenting, they will recommend you to install PeerBlock. It is an open-source IP blocker to block all suspicious IP’s that spread virus and collects your online data and activity. However, PeerBlock only works for Windows and Vista.

And again, if you wish to connect the VPN to multiple devices for streaming, it cannot be possible with AceVPN since it will only allow a single device per subscription. But they have a wide range of device compatibility. It can be compatible with smart TVs, Android, macOS, iOS, Chromecast, Roku, Linux, Kindle Fire TV, Playstation, Xbox, Windows, and many more.

AceVPn really aced in speed connectivity. Their speed is as great as their privacy features because it has 99.9% uptime with no logging. This is a great advantage since your anonymity and security depends on the VPN’s toll on speed. Moreover, if you are more into torrenting, a VPN with higher speed is also a must.

Mostly, AceVPN easily connects with a range of 3 to 4 seconds and has no disruptive buffering. Though it doesn’t top on the fastest VPN services, it is still recommendable enough. Its average speed is 40 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload with a normal ping.

If this isn’t enough for you, you can work on it to make it better by deleting slower servers from your device’s configuration file. Another way is to upgrade your AceVPN subscription plan to UltimateVPN Plan since it will let you access their Gigabyte Network feature.

Customer Support

First, AceVPN does not have live chat support, which is very important for customers who want immediate responses to their concerns. But it does have email support and an online ticket service. They excel on this support since they can reply within a few minutes at any time of the day. Not only that, but it also gives complete details that you need and doesn’t do automated replies.

They also proved FAQs on their page that you can easily check, too!

A community forum is also available to get help from other users who might have encountered the same concerns as you have. Also, they have blogs regarding their service and internet connection but we doubt all the users have the luxury of time to get through all the hundreds of blogs they have.

Ace VPN Overview Conclusion

Overall, this service provider has great features like secure protocols with military-grade encryption, kill switch, and plug security leak features.

However, as much as we want to recommend it for you, there are better VPN providers that are available in the market today.

AceVPN is not quite up to the other top vpn industry providers regarding their device connection speed, VPN plans, and being user-friendly.

So, as a vpn user if you are after the ultimate vpn package then Ace VPN is probably not best choice.
